Nexusgenics Consulting has developed Indigenous directed programs in collaboration with learning institutions and with specific departments from several First Nations Bands, in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Applied Indigenous Mental Soundness

AIMS - Applied Indigenous Mental Soundness

is a project designed in response to the new environment and challenges within the Indigenous communities of Canada both urban and rural.

Many Indigenous communities are adversely affected and are extremely vulnerable to the added fear and anxiety of pandemic, the ever growing problem of drugs and addiction and political change. All these have brought added weight to the minds and spirits of the people to an already stress-challenged communities.

The urgent outcry from leaders at all levels for mental health support at this time of pressing uncertainty is clear and emphatic.

This national call for mental health support has motivated our team to design an innovative program specifically to address the needs of Indigenous communities.

The objective of AIMS is to create and encourage Mental Soundness through the use of assessment protocols, implementing action plan strategies, solution-based counselling, virtual counselling and virtual talking circles.

What Do We Offer?

A.I.M.S is designed to educate and to encourage the building of skills as the group or individual navigates through the lessons and strategies. A greater understanding of how stress and anxiety impacts our mental soundness and effective practical ways of better managing our emotions are the objective.

Virtual Counselling and Webinars

With technology we offer counselling and motivation webinars through the ZOOM format where connectivity is available. This is a very effective tool of bringing mental support to individuals or groups in remote areas.

NGC Rising Warriors projects

Indigenous Pathways to Empowerment

Transitional strategies are developed to help individuals in the process of attending higher education or employment in other communities.

The project helps to identify possible unilateral intolerance

( discrimination , racial, gender etc.) and also to have cultural safety strategies in place.

Rising Futures Project

Designed to develop Life Strategies for Career and Education. Included are essential life skills, employment portfolio, computer skills, job searching, introduction to NOC, career mapping and motivation.

this a Career/Employment Initiative enhanced with our unique brand of Kaizen and LEAN Transformation. This project is designed to get individuals moving again into positive directions who through life circumstances have become 'stuck'. This project has great success in its mandate with measurable results.

NGC performance workshops

Lateral Tolerance

this workshop is to explore the origins of lateral intolerance toward the indigenous people of Canada and initiatives of how we can lessen the effects of lateral intolerance in our communities and workplaces.

Money Management Mastery

this workshop is to help with Budgeting strategies for those on fixed incomes. Included are the dynamics and benefits of budgeting, getting started with practical application, essential life skills of budgeting, time budget for life scheduling ( time management) and nutrition on a budget.

NGC Organizational Management

this project is designed for staff to create Productive Work Environments by the use of Kaizen Principles and Lateral Feedback Strategies. This workshop is very effective in creating positive communication between staff members and in the enhancement of relationships with other departments.
